Kamden in November 2014

The boy loves to eat.  On Veterans Day, Nana didn't have to work, so Christina and Kam came to visit. We had ourselves a little photo shoot.
Oh joy. That's what he's thinking all right!
This should be fun.
A Santa Suit!
And books! That's more like it!
Maybe this isn't so bad after all!

Books are so fascinating.

Those smiles light our world!

We could gaze that face all day, and it always brings a smile!

We didn't do so well at getting great pictures of him with his cousin Allie.
Daddy came over for lunch and gave Kam some good laughs.
The boy loves to eat!
It was a beautiful day. Kam loves the dogs, Zeek and Koda.
We took a little lunch recess.

Nana had to put an old outfit of his daddy's on him. And that was the photo shoot day

Kam in December

December was a busy and exciting time for Kam. He repeated the word "pretty" over and over as he gazed in awe at Christmas lights on the trees and outside.
Kim attended his first "Gender Reveal" party, where he learned that he will have a Baby Girl Cousin Evelyn in April! Since Nana didn't know the gender when she decorated, she used both blue and pink when she set the table for the homemade chili and cornbread family dinner. Kim had to climb up on a chair and rearrange the table settings to make things look a little better.
Look at Aunt Stephie and her darling baby bump and glowing smile!
At first, Kam found it slightly alarming when "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" would start playing as Rudolph's nose flashed. He enjoyed it more if he was sitting on Nana's lap before pressing the paw to start this experience.
Kam has amazing squatting skills!
And he knows how to have fun with a bucket of blocks!
Oh, we love this boy!
And of course his mom and dad are crazy about him too!
The color coordinating was a little…interesting!
Nana was excited to introduce Kam to the new plush Nativity set with its adorable characters...
but Kam was most interested in trying to get Mary to drive his tractor!
What does a camel say? Papa found a video of camels making sounds. Kim found it riveting! His imitations were priceless!

Kam also got to come to a Santa Party at Nana's school with his mom and his other grandma. So much fun...
He loved to inhale the fragrance of a tree...
and love on Lexi the puppy...
Those amazing squatting muscles again!
He found a six-year old new friend vastly entertaining and followed him all over the place. He's been trying to skip like him ever since. He has a nice bounce but hasn't quite figured out the launching yourself off the floor part yet!

It was all fun and games until this loud cheerful creepy guy in red showed up.
Santa! Stay away from me!
Santa has a present for Kam! No, you can't make me go up there!
Nana needs a picture of you on Santa's lap! You don't have to like it!
Ok fine, I guess I'll accept the present since it's so cool.
Yep, the other kids like it too. An awesome little medical kit.
The next party was for Nana's Birthday.
Uncle Eric, Kam and Nana were all wearing plaid flannel shirts. (Nana cleverly disguised her extremely bad hair day. At her age, she does not fear the disparaging comments from sons or brothers who don't appreciate her fashionable ways.)
Cousin Duane is always so fun to have around!
We really like Rachel too!
Kam loves the first toy to celebrate a BABY GIRL that Nana picked up down at the kid's second hand store downtown!
Nana and Papa got to take Kam on a tour of Storybookland. Don't these people look like grandparents any kid would be proud to go out in public with! Is he trying to pretend he doesn't know us?!!
There were so many things to run around and look at...
This was before Kam had been up close and personal with Santa. We were so glad we didn't stand in the long Santa line there to give Kam a chance to cry about sitting on Santa's lap!
Kim absolutely loves opening and closing doors of any type. He spent a long time one evening putting the gray-haired Lego lady behind this door and saying "ni-night grandma", grinning happily, then opening it up, taking her out, and doing it all over again!
Look where I can sit!

He adores going on stroller rides
 anything else outside!

He doesn't seem to mind if it's cold.
Who would think that a spoon and an empty paper cup would provide so much fun and entertainment?
Such a big boy, eating his apple at the big table where he can climb up on the chair all by himself!

Christmas sparkle, in the lights and in his eyes!
Pretending to drink out of the new cup his mommy made for Nana was sure delightful.
He had an opportunity to show off his verbal skills to Great-Aunt Carol and others around the table.
I love to make this boy laugh, and he makes me laugh all the time too!
Kam loves Uncle Craig and knows he is going to be a great daddy for the new baby!
So many adorable pictures of Kam and his parents on Christmas Day.
I just can't pick my favorite.
Maybe this one?
Or this one?
This guy loves to look at books, both alone and sitting on my lap to read together. I really love that.
What a wonderful December for Kam and his family!
