Table Talk

It is a big deal around here to have enough meat to satisfy the men. At lunch Sunday, Nick's plate was clean and there was one pork chop left on the meat platter. He politely asked his father if he was finished with the meat and got permission to have the last piece. This led to a discussion of how the boys know to make sure Dad has had enough before they finish off any food. Eric said, "We are really fortunate that humans can talk about it. Animals just have to wait until the alpha male is all finished eating before the rest of them can eat."

Indeed, no matter how big they get, these boys will always recognize their father as the "alpha male!"

Homework Time

I had to grab the camera Wednesday night when the kids were all lined up doing homework. Believe it or not, the paper Eric was working on ended up very well written. Obviously he was putting a lot of deep thought into it!
